Here are a few larger pictures for your enjoyment.
(This is a temporary location and will be moved later)
We started from Lake Elsinore here in Southern California… This is the back of my house (Charles & Laureta – AKA Mama Tembo) and part of the back yard.
Kay started from Corona 30 miles north of us. This is her house below. Actually Mama Tembo and I drove to Kay’s house (30 minutes away) and left from there. We took a shuttle (a van) that drove us to the airport in Los Angeles. Los Angeles International Airport is about 70 – 80 miles away.
Here is the best aerial image of the Serengeti from Google Earth. There is no clear closeup view.
And ended up here in the Serengeti
Note that because many of these photos were taken as the sun went down I had to lighten some of them up to bring out the details.
Guys, I have purposely only put a few pictures on a page, for faster page loading, in case you have a slow internet connection.
James, I will be putting up the bird images in a week or two. I will send you an email with information when I do. They might not be on this site*.
James, or anyone else interested in Astronomy or space you might want to checkout my NASA-space site www.Stellary.com.
Please leave comments, if possible, so I will know you saw this site.
Thanks, Charles
